A Year In Review

~Study Abroad Opportunity~

Let your creative mind take off.

This was our final project of the class where we were assigned to create a poster and three social media posts for an event of our choice. It could be fictional or real. This poster and social media collection is advertising a study abroad chance for any students interested. I have always been one who loves to travel, and in seeing these creations, I do see a bit of myself in there. I love sunsets and creative color schemes of the sky that our Lord creates. The reason why I chose the poster to be a plane window is because it gives a cool perspective look. It was designed to look like a point-of-view from the person seated in the window seat of a plane, excited to travel the world.

~You're Invited!!!~

The event may be fictional, but the project was not.

This was the class project of customizing an invitation to an event of our choice only using typography. This invitation is explaining the date, time, and event of a couple's wedding. The two people in this invitation are actually two of my good friends. The colors reflect their personal favorite colors. Both blue and teal do remind me of the two of them. There is a lot of these two colors in their personal social medias as well as in their dorms here on campus. In addition, my friend Max really likes hexagons. He has two sets of hexagon LED lights in his dorm room. That is why I used hexagons at the bottom of this invitation. This project was fun to create, and it may be more fun that my friends have no idea that I created this.
~The Writer's Lounge~

The author's dream.
This project in class was to create a restaurant menu of a fictional place. The goal was to create a visually pleasing menu with various type fonts and colors without going overboard. For my menu, I thought of my favorite hobby plus one of my favorite colors: writing and teal. My aim for this project was to go for a clubhouse type vibe with casual lunch choices. Nothing too heavy, and nothing too expensive. Most of the items on here are traditions that mean a lot to my family. I have had all of the desserts on the menu with my family's recipes. The fruit salad in the sides menu is the fruit salad I have every time I go to my grandmother's house for a visit. If this restaurant ever becomes a thing, I imagine it being run by the three generations of ladies in my family: my grandmothers, my momma, and me.
